Coffeehouse in Boris`s Garden
Info about "Coffeehouse in Boris's Garden"
There are several large parks and other smaller in Sofia, Bulgaria .The biggest among them is Central Park “Boris's Garden“ (area of 90.5 ha).
Its old name is “Freedom Park.”. Today it is the most beautiful and maintained metropolitan park. There are many alleys, benches and rest areas.
Along the alleys you can see old monuments of famous Bulgarians.
The area behind “The monument to Soviet Army” is one of the most visited places in Central Park.
My suggestion is there to be designed cafe with temporary nature of construction, along with children's playground. Coffe is open, and in rainy weather
has the opportunity to be covered by a transparent membrane that closes the structure for winter use .
The idea is for cafeteria which is "flowing" like a bridge over the lake. There are wrapped multiple "rings" with the colors of the rainbow
along the bridge. There is a specially designed playground for the youngest visitors. The great mission of color in modern architecture is
to break with usual standards, provoking originality, the unexpected rejection of the accumulated gray, replication of numerous examples from nature.
The color is highlighting, underlining, attracting the attention. That is why it is used most actively in the development of this project.
Building status: Conceptual project
